    2. Set a target

      Choose a maximum file size and output height. Smaller targets may require lower quality. Audio can be removed.

    3. Keep the tab open

      Compression runs in two passes and may take a while. Download the result, then check its picture and sound.

    Will it always meet my target?

    The output size is checked and the encoder can retry. If the target cannot be reached within the available limits, the tool reports a failure. Very small targets can noticeably reduce quality.

    Why does it take time?

    Your device runs the video encoder itself. Two passes help distribute the available bitrate. Keep the tab open and active; phones and older computers can be much slower.

    Does this trim videos or extract audio?

    No. This compresses the full video. You can keep or remove its audio track. Video trimming and separate audio downloads are not included.
