Extract text
One JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or BMP up to 20 MB / 12 megapixels. PDF up to 25 MB, with up to 10 pages per run. Animated images use the first frame.
Best results come from sharp, upright printed text.
Extract text downloads the local engine and chosen language on first use: about 7 MB for English. Your file is never uploaded.
Choose a file, or try the sample.
Your text, ready to use.
Check names, numbers and punctuation before using the result. OCR can make mistakes and does not preserve the original page layout.
THREE SIMPLE STEPS
From image to editable.
Choose your source
Drop in a screenshot, photographed page or scanned PDF.
Read it on your device
Pick English, German or Turkish, then let the browser read the pixels locally.
Make it yours
Correct anything the engine missed. Copy the text or download the current version as a TXT file.
GOOD TO KNOW
A few answers.
Does this upload my documents?
No. The engine and chosen language download from this website. Your image or PDF is read on your device and is not sent to a conversion or AI service.
Can it read scanned PDFs?
Yes. It renders the selected PDF pages locally, then reads their images with OCR. The result is editable plain text, with page separators for multiple pages.
Will it reproduce my document exactly?
No. OCR is an approximation. It can miss or misread letters and will not recreate columns, tables or the original layout. Review the editable output before using it.
What happens when I clear the tool?
The selected file, previews and text are removed from this page and the OCR worker is stopped. The browser may keep public engine downloads in its HTTP or optional offline cache.
